Matthew D. Neumann Named Indy Best and Brightest Finalist

Mdn Zpsohpn0rfiMatthew D. Neumann was named a finalist in the 2015 Indy’s Best and Brightest sponsored by Junior Achievement of Central Indiana. He was among 100 Central Indiana young professionals, age 40 and under recognized for their career accomplishments. The Best and Brightest initiative was created by Junior Achievement to recognize up and coming talent and the next generation of leaders in our community. Honorees in each category are judged on professional accomplishments, civic involvement and leadership qualities.

Neumann is an attorney in the Indianapolis office of Plews Shadley Racher and Braun LLP. He focuses his practice in a variety of areas including complex litigation, environmental litigation, business and commercial disputes, insurance coverage, construction law and other general, civil litigation areas.  His practice also extends to corporate law and real estate matters.  Neumann is a co-founder of The Indianapolis Professional, which is a professional news, information and networking website.  The site is founded on the premise that sharing information, promoting local ideas, and getting first-hand information from the people on the ground is a good recipe for building synergy among the leaders and future leaders of our community.

Neumann serves as the 2015 Chair of the Indianapolis Bar Association’s Young Lawyer’s Division and on the Board of Directors of the Indianapolis Bar Association.  He is active with the Indiana State Bar Association, including being on the Council of the Young Lawyers Section and a member of the Ethics and Pro Bono Committees.  He is a member of the Indy Chamber Ambassadors, the volunteer arm of the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce.  Neumann also volunteers with Wheeler Mission Ministries and his pro bono activities include the Ask-A-Lawyer Program, the Homeless Legal Aid Project, and Legal Lines of the Indianapolis Bar Association.
