Daniel P. Cory practices in a variety of areas including environmental compliance and litigation.  He received his B.A. (English) from Indiana University, Bloomington in 2003 and his J.D., cum laude, from Notre Dame Law School in 2008.  Dan has been licensed in Indiana since 2008 and clerked for PSRB prior to joining the firm permanently in 2008.  While in law school, he was President of the Environmental Law Society, was an Executive Articles Editor for the Journal of Legislation, and was the Student Bar Association’s Community Service Co-Chair.  Dan currently serves as a mentor through the South Bend Community School Corporation’s Mentoring Dream Team for Unity program and is also an active member of the South Bend Lions Club. 

Dan recently served as the primary attorney on a pro bono case, advocating on behalf of a foreign-born woman that was facing deportation after fleeing her abusive husband.  During this representation, Dan was the primary attorney responsible for briefing and arguing the case before the immigration judge, the Board of Immigration Appeals and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.  See Ward v. Holder, 632 F.3d 395 (7th Cir. 2011). 

Along with Colin E. Connor, Brianna J. Schroeder, and Sean M. Hirschten, Dan authors a blog on environmental litigation entitled The Monitoring Well.
