John is an experienced trial lawyer who regularly represents plaintiffs and defendants in environmental and other litigation matters.  His cases include complex insurance coverage disputes involving multiple claims in multiple states, and commercial litigation.  John is national collections counsel for a major manufacturing company.  John has also prevailed in qui tam actions and was an invited presenter on this topic at a national seminar. 

John received his B.A. from Indiana University, Bloomington in 1980.  He received his M.Div, magna cum laude, from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 1983.  He received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 1987.  In 1988, John was Judicial Clerk to the Honorable John Feikens of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.  He was an associate at Hill Lewis and then Clark Hill, Detroit, from 1989 to 1998, and at Beckman Lawson, Fort Wayne, from 1998 to 1999.  John joined the firm in 2000 and has been a partner since 2003.
