August 1, 2013   PSRB Celebrates 25th Anniversary
By Plews Shadley Racher & Braun LLP

Indianapolis-based Plews Shadley Racher & Braun LLP (PSRB) will celebrate its 25th Anniversary on August 1 and begin a year-long Silver Anniversary celebration.   The firm has adopted a special 25th Anniversary logo to be used throughout the year on its website, in all of its marketing materials and in staff email signatures.  PSRB also plans a series of announcements over the next 12 months that will detail new areas of growth.

PSRB was started in 1988 by George Pendygraft, George Plews and Sue Shadley.   Pendygraft left to help run a new business in 1990.  Plews and Shadley added name partners Peter Racher in 1989 and Chris Braun in 1994, and the firm has now grown to 20 partners, 17 associates and of counsel lawyers, and more than 30 full and part-time staff employees today in Indianapolis and South Bend.   PSRB now has the largest environmental law and insurance coverage practices in Indiana. However, it is also known for tackling the most complicated cases in energy, complex litigation, and corporate and transactional services. PSRB is located on a Delaware Street campus in Indianapolis that extends throughout five buildings, including three renovated, historic homes.   PSRB also has an office in South Bend on Generations Drive that serves the northern Indiana region.

“We are truly grateful to have been able to thrive for 25 years as an independent firm in a very competitive, talent-rich legal environment,” said PSRB co-founder Sue Shadley.  “We are blessed to have had great clients and hardworking, imaginative colleagues.”

“We have been privileged to help build a body of case law, particularly in the environmental and insurance sectors, that will have a lasting impact on the state,” said co-founder George Plews.  “We have successfully litigated a large number of cases that recovered more than $500 million for environmental cleanups that have literally changed the Indiana landscape.  Our goal is always to help our clients and the law to make our state a better place.  As we continue to strategically grow the firm to meet the needs of our clients, we look forward to continuing to impact the state positively over the next 25 years and beyond.”

“It is a great source of pride that our firm celebrates this special anniversary,” said name partner Peter Racher.  “Many thanks are owed to colleagues in the Indiana legal community who have referred environmental, insurance coverage and other legal matters to us over the years or who have included us as co-counsel on major cases, and who continue to be good friends even when we have represented opposing clients.   We are fortunate to practice law among such excellent attorneys.”

“Our firm’s success and growth over the years have been fueled by a relentless emphasis on understanding our clients and their evolving business and legal needs.  To meet these needs we have developed a team-oriented, entrepreneurial culture that is unyielding in its commitment to our firm’s core values while being disciplined enough to blend creativity and productivity in providing the highest quality legal representation to our clients on a local, state and national basis,” said name partner Chris Braun.
